Womanhood is a journey of constant change — physical, hormonal, emotional, and social.
From adolescence to motherhood to menopause (and everything in between), these transitions can impact your mood, focus, energy, and sense of balance.
At Lifeworks Occupational Therapy, our Navigating Womanhood service helps women manage these transitions with compassion, evidence, and practical support.
We empower women to understand their bodies, manage their energy, and maintain meaningful routines — so they can function and thrive through every stage of life.
Women’s Health Occupational Therapy looks at how biological, emotional, and social factors influence a woman’s ability to participate in her everyday life and roles.
Our clinicians provide personalised, real-world strategies to help women maintain wellbeing through the many transitions of womanhood, including:
Hormonal health – menstruation management, PMS, PMDD, endometriosis, PCOS, perimenopause, menopause
Perinatal & maternal wellbeing – navigating matrescence, postnatal depletion, mental load, and early parenting
Persistent pain & fatigue – building strategies for energy conservation and symptom management
Mental health & emotional regulation – supporting anxiety, low mood, overwhelm, or trauma recovery
Pelvic health – supporting bladder and bowel management, sexual wellbeing, and pain
Daily life & identity – managing routines, return to work, self-care, and cognitive load
Individual experience – including neurodivergence, gender identity, and complex trauma
Our approach is trauma-informed, inclusive, and practical, supporting every woman to feel more capable, calm, and connected to herself.
Our Occupational Therapists provide:
One-on-one sessions – personalised assessment, strategy development, and ongoing support (in-clinic or via telehealth)
Small group programs – focused on shared experiences such as fatigue management or emotional regulation
Collaborative care – working alongside GPs, women’s health physiotherapists, and other allied health providers for integrated, holistic support
We don’t just talk about change — we help you build it into your everyday life.
We work with women aged 15 to 55+ who are:
Managing hormonal or health-related challenges

We also collaborate with:
